Elopements

Just the two of you,
somewhere worth the trip.

Elopements and tiny weddings in big places. Sea cliffs on the Oregon coast, old-growth forest in Washington, black sand in Iceland, a Utah canyon at the end of summer. The day is small. The place is not.

A couple running hand in hand through a mountain meadow in Utah at the end of summer.

Almost every eloping couple says the same thing on our first call: we want it to feel like us, not like a wedding. Good. That is the brief.

We pick the place together and time the day to the light. I usually arrive a day early to scout, and I always carry a spare jacket. If it rains, we shoot in the rain. Some of my favourite photographs happened under one umbrella.

What you get back is not a list of formals. It is a record of standing somewhere enormous together and saying it out loud.

If your day belongs outside,
let us plan it.
